The World Is A Beautiful Place

This morning, I received terrible news that a high school classmate was killed in a car accident last night. I didn’t know Fred very well, but I was a football manager in high school and he played. We’ve had few interactions over the last few years, but he was an incredible person. He was motivated, passionate and kind. It’s unfortunate that such a wonderful life was taken from us too soon.

Regardless of how well you know a person, a tragic event like this is bone chilling. It really puts things into perspective. And it’s a reminder to tell people you love them. Treat friends and family with kindness. Treat STRANGERS with kindness. Each day we have on this Earth is a blessing; don’t take it for granted because you never know when it will be your last.

My heart hurts for the Statz family. RIP Freddy Statz. You were one helluva guy.

  1. Damn. Sad to hear that šŸ˜¦

  2. …and here I was thinking this would be a post on the great outdoors in Denver. Sorry to hear about your former classmate, it’s never really easy.

  3. What a lovely little reminder to be wonderful you posted. Sorry to hear about this. I also received news of someone that I knew passed away last Monday. I agree, bone-chilling to hear of this kind of news.
